so i’m learning python independently, because it’s never a bad thing to know a programming language that is widely used and is very likely to be beneficial in the long run.
SO. Based on that, I was thinking… what if in the future so much depends on different programming languages that whoever knows ‘em, gets a lot of influence and wields whatever power being a programmer could get them?
Like, in a world where you can literally write a whole house into existence for yourself, program your existence into any kinda life you want and create a fortune out of nothing, being able to use a programming language like, well, python or cobra or ruby is like a superpower. It’s also a skill that people aren’t given access to easily. Learning how to code becomes a rarity, and governments allow only a few people to do that.
There’s so much work to be done to make this plot even halfway coherent, really, and i think this could work even as an original story and not a fanfic. I might practice writing an original story, but will see how that goes lol.
