please consider all of these factors facing fanfic writers, who are doing this for fun and no return whatsoever beyond the love of the thing. thank you.

Reasons why not commenting can result in the above “problems”:
1.) Author feels there is not enough demand for their work to justify continuing it, either because they’re discouraged, they don’t have very much time to write, or they have other stories they’d rather be focusing on
2.) Author is unaware of the issues with their writing because no one is properly reviewing it or giving them constructive criticism
3.) Author is aware of issues with their writing but has not recieved enough feedback about it to feel it merits improving
4.) Author is aware of issues with their writing but isn’t sure how to address them, and no one is offering suggestions or writing tips
5.) Author is not motivated enough by feedback to bother keeping to a timely writing or posting schedule
