BUT ANYWAY
so y’all know i’m into time travel fics. like, to say the least. time travel fics are my jam. and i want a naruto one.
The plot would be smth like, kagyua is a tougher cookie than expected, slingshot back in time, yada yada same old shit. Except this time Naruto’s like, ok, we (I) did a lot of mistakes in the past, but this is a new era, new me, nd i’m soooo not going to make any mistakes ever, 100% dattebayo.
To which Kyuubi’s like: yeah right.
But Naruto’s like, really determined to keep the timeline similar for as long as possible, so he’s trying to make sure that everything happens as it did the first time around.
Which means that when he’s 6 yrs old chillin by the Naka river and a dying Uchiha drifts past him, he’s like oh shit, it’s definitely not time for the Uchiha massacre, right? This isn’t how it happened. Let me fish out this dude and make sure he lives. What’s the harm in that, right? Naruto is just sticking to the timeline. And after dumping Shisui at a hospital (look, i just found him), he goes home super satisfied and feeling accomplished.
Except like, then the Uchiha massacre doesn’t happen? Instead a shitton of Uchihas get arrested??? And Danzo too??? and Naruto’s like sweating bullets like oh shit oh shit i fucked up I FUCKED UP H O W. And Kyuubi’s like yeah I saw this one coming, congrats on fucking up, go big or go home, as always.
And then Shisui starts hanging around Naruto like heyyyy, can’t believe i owe my life to a 6 yr old orange. And I really want to make this a Shisui/Naruto eventually, but I’m a total sucker for Shikamaru, so who knows rly.
And like, it sounds really light and comedic, but this fic would be my TTN-esque contribution? Basically a long struggle of a fic about Naruto’s quest to kill a deity. And even tho he’s gunning for Kaguya, he encounters Inari and Jashin and all the other deities and he doesn’t even realize what’s mind blowing about hanging around these beings.
So, yeah.
But also I want a fic in which Naruto after his failed genin exam steals two, not one, scrolls. One of them is the original scroll, and the other one is the super secret uchiha massacre assignment. And Naruto’s like, oh shit, what the fuckkkk do i do with THIS. So he burns it and pretends he didn’t see it. Except he really can’t stop thinking about it, and by the time Sasuke decides to leave, Naruto’s like you know what, maybe that’s what you should do. Go out there, find yourself, and find out if anyone has possibly been lying to you, you know. Not that I would know, I know nothing. And Naruto is accidentally so supportive that Sasuke falls a lil bit in love, and they just. Things escalate, and by the time they’re like 15 Naruto has finally sorted out his thoughts and tracks down Sasuke and is like listen, look what I found out totally five minutes ago, I have not been sitting on this info for who knows how long. And then they plot the downfall of Danzo together etc. And SasuNaru happens because why not.
