like listen i dont want to be Weirdly Enthusiastic about cannibalism but like, okay first of all its very well written so get that straight, second of all its an I Mean not an interpretation but au? version? idk? that you never get to see unless its kind of poorly done edge grimdark fic and its 2018 who has the energy for that, and third of all it gets in and gets out and you’re left frenzied and excited and its Good! (i’d defo read more tho dont get me wrong) anyway 1000000000000/10 i love it

i’m legit delighted abt someone being on this cannibalism train with me!

You know, I love it when the cannibalism is kinda like… implied? So that  the reader just kinda goes “no… it can’t be…?? is it???” and then they infer from the increasing clues that um yep, this totally cool and nice character eats people on the side l m a o i want 80 chapters of someone casually eating ppl without being like, an ultra genius like hannibal. Just your everyday mother of 3, Susan, eating her PTA rivals one by one.

idk where this is going.

Thank you SO much!! ❤

i had initially planned on updating ittr once a week, but tbh the amount of ppl who’re being rly happy and positive and just like “omg it’s been so long, thank you!” is making me think that maybe I should update ittr again on Monday already. Like, as soon as i finish proof reading. There’s no point in holding back the chapters tbh, I haven’t cared about how many comments I get since my FF.net days (abt 7 yrs ago) so even the logic of holding back chapters to get more comments doesn’t apply for me.

So yeah, I’m a bit busy for the rest of today and then tomorrow, but I’ll get back to proofreading and editing on Sunday, and iA will post chapter 30 on Monday morning.

Remember when I said I’m dropping the goal word count to 30K? I ended up writing 45K, which is 9 chapters of ITTR. Since a few days ago ppl picked the number 11, I’ll write 2 more chapters before i start editing and posting. That’ll then be iA 11 weeks of updates.

And then I’ll get back to TTN and the commissioned TTN-spinoff oneshot.

10/11 done. One more, and I’ll start editing & posting them.

Then finally, back to TTN.

11/11 DONE. Imma have a lil break, then will start editing. Will post chapter 29 as soon as i finish editing it, hopefully today.

“[The older generation of writers who had established the rules for modern fiction under the assumption that their experience was “universal”] gained the ability to write stories where they could “show” and not “tell" … They had this ability not because they were masterful stylists of language or because they dripped with innate talent. The power to “show, not tell” stemmed from the writing for an audience that shared so many assumptions with them that the audience would feel that those settings and stories were “universal.” (It’s the same hubris that led the white Western establishment to assume its medicine, science, and values superior to all other cultures …) Look at the literary fiction techniques that are supposedly the hallmarks of good writing: nearly all of them rely not on what was said, but on what is left unsaid. Always come at things sideways; don’t be too direct, too pat, or too slick. Lead the reader in a direction but allow them to come to the conclusion. Ask the question but don’t state the answer too baldly. Leave things open to interpretation… but not too open, of course, or you have chaos. Make allusions and references to the works of the literary canon, the Bible, and familiar events of history to add a layer of evocation—but don’t make it too obvious or you’re copycatting. These are the do’s and don’ts of MFA programs everywhere. They rely on a shared pool of knowledge and cultural assumptions so that the words left unsaid are powerfully communicated. I am not saying this is not a worthwhile experience as reader or writer, but I am saying anointing it the pinnacle of “craft” leaves out any voice, genre, or experience that falls outside the status quo. The inverse is also true, then: writing about any experience that is “foreign” to that body of shared knowledge is too often deemed less worthy because to make it understandable to the mainstream takes a lot of explanation. Which we’ve been taught is bad writing!”

Hey, I hope this doesn’t come off as annoying, I’m just confused because you talk about having written more and more of ITTR but on AO3 it’s been at chapter 28 for a couple years? I’m really sorry, I don’t mean this to sound like a complaint or anything! I was just wondering if there is somewhere else it’s being updated or something?

Hi! It’s not updated. I started writing ITTR again around this year’s May, and kept writing it since then as much as I could. I didn’t feel like editing or updating it, so I didn’t. The only copy of all of my fics will be on AO3 only.

John Mulaney, a man who is iconically known for loving his wife, after being told by Jerry Seinfeld that his wife only thinks shes good at something

Well done OP, you’ve managed to capture the moment John’s spirit left his body

Jerry’s lucky that John is too polite to throw hands

Okay but I just went and watched this for myself and it’s WORSE

He’s. So uncomfortable. It’s obvious. I cut out the part where John kind of muttered, “That is true, isn’t it” about how all men think they’re funny, but his face is just screwed up in this ‘oh god what have i done what have i signed up for this is not good and this will probably go into my next comedy special of awkwardness’

Just watched this omg bless john bc jerry just keeps trying to do some “take my wife” bullshit and john very politely goes no, no.

proud of John for restraining himself from murdering a man on camera

What’s so horrifying about this to me is that this is literally Jerry Seinfeld trying to teach John Mulaney how to gaslight his wife.

Look at that dialogue. “She thinks she knows.” He’s trying to get Mulaney to see his wife’s expertise as instead a weird misperception. He’s coaching him to undercut his wife’s confidence in the truth and her own abilities.

And Mulaney replies exactly the right way: “She does know.” He asserts not only that she’s perceiving the world accurately, but that she is an expert at something he’s not good at.

Dudes, don’t take this shit from other dudes. Mulaney isn’t by any means perfect but he aced this. Stand for the truth. Defend women’s objectivity. Promote women’s expertise.

Doesnt his wife also work with antiques too?like. Isnt that part of her actual job?

I reblog this every time because I don’t think people understand that Anna is literally an interior designer. She makes absolutely stunning Victorian Lampshades. Which she designs.. for the interior of a home… she’s literally an interior designer. She doesn’t think she’s good at it, she knows she’s good at it because it’s her fucking job
