Palestinians have been protesting since March 30th, 2018 in the ‘Great March Return’ demanding to return to their homes that they were expelled from by Israel in 1948.

Today they’re protesting the US opening its embassy in Jerusalem, declaring it Israel’s capital, and commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Palestinian expulsion aka the Nakba (Catastrophe)

Israel today (May 14), as of 12 pm Palestine time, has:

  • Killed a Palestinian protester, his name was Anas Hamdan Qadeh 21 years old
  • Wounded 43 Palestinians with live ammunition 
  • Used drones to drop flammable materials on protesters’ tents to set them on fire

And Israel since March 30th, 2018 has:

  • Killed at least 40 Palestinians, including children. 
  • Wounded at least 5,511 Palestinians, many of them with live ammunition and had their limbs amputated as a result.

the hadids are far from perfect and have been problematic af, but I have mad respect for bella publicly supporting palestine and using her platform to draw attention to Israel’s occupation. It takes a shittonne of courage to be pro palestine in an industry with so many zionists holding positions of power. bella is a young palestinian woman fighting for her people, not for a two state solution or a “pray for the world” she is directly speaking in support of Palestine and her people, despite the negative impact it could have on her career and that’s admirable to say the least.
