okay so i finally got a netflix subscription because i was like listen, i can’t be the only person who hasn’t seen the making of a murderer. So I watched the first ep and loved it (also if y’all got show  movie recs, pls share. my likes: horror, action, war, comedy, dislikes: romance, contemplative pieces about deep things, romance, teenagers discovering themselves, romance).

but the thing is that when i watch smth, i wanna write

so I was thinking: what IF we got a fic in which Naruto was prevented from becoming a shinobi, and decided to become a lawyer instead. Yes. In Konoha. Listen, if they have cops, they gotta have lawyers too.

Anyway. Naruto grows up instead of wanting to become the hokage, simply wanting to become the best lawyer ever. And the thing is: he’s good at what he does. He’s observant and clever and thinks fast on his feet and rly promising. 

And then one day he hears that some chunin called Uchiha Sasuke was hospitalized because he fought his brother who kicked his ass. And Naruto knows only a few things about the whole Uchiha massacre but he’s like “wow how could anyone do that to their family” and it’s not just a rhetoric question to him: he starts investigating Uchiha Itachi as a side project.

so shit happens and eventually Naruto comes to the realization that a) there’s a LOT he doesn’t know, b) Uchiha Itachi is innocent, and c) this is bigger than just the case of a killer. This involves the justice system of Konoha.

And that’s when Naruto approaches Sasuke and even tho they hate each other right off the bat, they still decide to work together because somehow, despite all odds Sasuke still has enough hope in him to give this crazy blonde a bit of support. And even though he doesn’t think his brother is innocent, he still wants to know why.

And then along the way of proving Itachi innocent and taking down corruption in Konoha, SasuNaru happens.
